"Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on." – Eckhart Tolle

3 Keys
You can’t embrace the new if your hands—and life—are full of the old: We often cling to routines, identities, or relationships out of comfort or fear. Real change asks us to loosen our grip—on what's familiar but no longer fulfilling. Whether it’s outdated beliefs or emotional baggage, holding on too tightly can prevent us from being, doing, or having something better.
Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting—it means freeing yourself: People often confuse release with erasure, yet are they the same? No. You’re not pretending something didn’t happen; you’re choosing not to let it define you anymore. This is especially true with emotional pain, regrets, or even shame. Letting go is a healing decision—it’s an act of compassion toward your past self and a declaration that your future deserves peace.
Nature shows us: shedding is part of renewal: Trees lose their leaves in autumn, not because they’re dying—but because they’re preparing to thrive again. A snake sheds its skin. The moon wanes before it waxes. In the natural world, letting go is a sacred part of every transformation. The same is true for us. Growth isn't linear; it comes in seasons. Trusting the process—even when it looks like loss—is a powerful way to honor the deeper rhythms of your life.
A Couple of Concepts
Psychological Flexibility: A growing body of research in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) shows that people who practice acceptance of difficult thoughts and feelings, rather than trying to suppress or control them, experience less anxiety and depression. This flexibility—allowing emotions to flow and pass—is a form of internal letting go. It doesn’t mean giving up; it means giving space.
Emotional Decluttering: Just like physical clutter overwhelms our senses, emotional clutter can weigh down our energy and focus. Cognitive-behavioral research has linked emotional “baggage” (such as unresolved guilt, resentment, or self-criticism) to chronic stress and even physical symptoms. By mindfully identifying what’s no longer serving us—such as toxic self-talk or attachments to unhelpful narratives—we create the mental clarity to move forward.
A Quick Overview
This week, take a few quiet moments to check in with yourself. Ask gently:
What am I holding on to that’s keeping me from growing?
What needs to be cleaned up, completed, or released because it no longer reflects who I’m becoming?
Maybe it’s an old story—about your worth, your identity, or where you “should” be by now. Maybe it’s a relationship that no longer feels aligned, a familiar pattern that’s kept you circling, or a fear that’s become so constant it hides in plain sight. Whatever it is, this might be the moment to pause and ask:
What would it feel like to loosen my grip—even just a little?
At Better Wellness Naturally, this is part of what we call “Clean Ups and Completions”—a core practice we offer to support meaningful transformation.
Letting go isn’t a one-time choice. It’s a practice—deliberate, courageous, and honest.
And the beautiful truth is you don’t need to have all the answers before you begin. Letting go isn’t about pushing something away—it’s about making space: Space to heal. To breathe. To receive. To grow into what’s next.
Letting go isn’t giving up. It’s an act of trust in your future. It’s how we clear what no longer serves in order to welcome what’s waiting.
Just like nature sheds and renews with each season, so can we.
So, please consider giving yourself the gift of release, of the Clean Ups and the Completions. There’s grace in every ending—and strength in the becoming that follows.

The Empowered Transitions Storms of Change Retreat…
isn’t for everyone…
(But is it for You???)
You’ve done the work—therapy, retreats, journaling, processing.
And still, something inside hasn’t fully landed.
You’re in the in-between: grieving, rebuilding, redefining. You’ve outgrown surface-level healing and are ready for something that meets you where you actually are—not where someone thinks you should be.
This isn’t a feel-good escape. It’s a rare opportunity to integrate the hard-earned wisdom of your journey into something embodied, lasting, and real—surrounded by a cohesive group of amazing people who are also doing the work, who aren’t making excuses, and who deeply get it.
